Development Update • September 19, 2026

Over the last several hours, another major piece of Player One Network has started taking shape.

🎮 Welcome to Player One Forums

Forums are now being built directly into the Player One Network community experience — giving members a dedicated place for longer conversations, questions, guides, discussions, feedback, gaming topics, tech talk, and everything that doesn’t necessarily belong in a fast-moving social feed.

This first Alpha build already includes considerably more than a basic message board.

And development has moved fast.

🌐 A NEW WAY TO CONNECT ON P1

The Lobby is designed around quick social interaction.

Forums serve a different purpose.

They’re being built for conversations that deserve more room.

Things like:

Topics remain organized so discussions don’t disappear simply because something newer was posted.

🚀 PLAYER ONE FORUMS ALPHA

The initial Forum Alpha foundation now includes:

• Forum channels.
• Topics.
• Replies.
• Reactions.
• Topic following.
• Notifications.
• @mentions.
• Member information.
• Profile integration.
• Responsive layouts.
• Video support.
• Player One progression integration.

Posting and interacting with discussions is also designed to feel fast without constantly interrupting the experience with unnecessary page reloads.

🗂️ FORUM CHANNELS

Forums are organized into dedicated channels so conversations have somewhere appropriate to live.

The channel experience has already received a major redesign during the initial Alpha development.

Each channel can now have its own:

• Identity.
• Icon.
• Artwork.
• Topic count.
• Description.
• Interactive hover presentation.

Rather than every category looking identical, the goal is to make each section of the Forums immediately recognizable.

🎨 CHANNEL DESIGN OVERHAUL

The original Forum presentation quickly received a second major design pass.

The new direction features:

• Distinct channel artwork.
• Individual channel icons.
• Cleaner cards.
• More interactive hover effects.
• Better information hierarchy.
• Improved topic counts.
• Stronger Player One styling.
• More responsive layouts.

Channel icons are also intentionally unique rather than repeatedly using the same graphic across multiple sections.

➕ NEW TOPIC EXPERIENCE CLEANUP

An unnecessary duplicate + New Topic action was removed.

Creating a discussion should be obvious without presenting members with multiple controls that do exactly the same thing.

The current interface keeps topic creation accessible while reducing visual clutter.

📐 FORUM WIDTH & LAYOUT REDESIGN

A significant portion of the latest development work focused on getting the overall Forum width right.

Early layouts were either:

• Too narrow.

or

• Far too wide.

The Forums have now moved toward a more controlled centered layout that gives conversations room to breathe without stretching content across an entire desktop display.

This applies across:

• Forum landing pages.
• Channel pages.
• Topic lists.
• Individual discussions.
• Replies.

The result feels considerably more focused and easier to read.

🖼️ BACKGROUND FRAME ALIGNMENT

The outer Forum background/frame also received additional refinement.

Previously, the main Forum content could reach the intended width while the larger frame behind it continued extending too far outward.

That background structure has now been brought into alignment with the primary Forum layout.

The result is a more intentional layered appearance rather than one oversized container surrounding a smaller interface.

◼️ CLEANER OUTER EDGES

The outside Forum frame also had rounded corners that didn’t fit the direction of the design.

Those far-left, far-right, and bottom outer-frame curves have been targeted for removal.

The Forums now use cleaner outer edges while retaining appropriate detailing on the actual cards and interface elements inside.

This keeps the overall Forum surface integrated into P1 instead of looking like one giant rounded floating panel.

🎨 LESS “BUBBLY,” MORE PLAYER ONE

The interface received additional visual refinement to reduce overly rounded and exaggerated 3D styling.

The updated direction focuses more on:

• Clean surfaces.
• Subtle depth.
• Controlled blue accents.
• Better contrast.
• Sharper layout structure.
• More restrained borders.
• Consistency with the rest of Player One Network.

The Forums should feel interactive without every element looking like a floating bubble.

📝 TOPIC & POST PAGE IMPROVEMENTS

Individual discussion pages received additional design work as well.

Replies now use a cleaner structure designed around:

• Member identity.
• Post content.
• Roles.
• Mentions.
• Reactions.
• Replies.

This makes longer conversations much easier to follow.

🔵 POST REPLY BUTTON FIX

The Post Reply button was previously appearing with an incorrect pink style that didn’t match Player One Network.

That has been corrected.

The reply action now follows the proper blue P1 interface styling.

😀 EMOJI SUPPORT

Forum topics and replies now have better emoji support.

Members can use emojis while participating in discussions instead of conversations being limited to plain text.

Emoji shortcuts are also being incorporated into the posting experience so reactions and personality can be added more naturally.

Because obviously every gaming forum eventually needs:

👤 CLICKABLE MEMBER NAMES

Forum posts are becoming more connected to the rest of Player One Network.

Member identity displayed beside a post is no longer intended to be static information.

The following can now connect back to that member’s Player One channel/profile:

• Avatar.
• Display name.
• @username.

That means discovering somebody through a Forum conversation can lead directly into their creator/community presence elsewhere on P1.

🔗 FORUMS + CREATOR CHANNELS

This is an important part of the larger P1 ecosystem.

Forums aren’t being designed as an isolated community.

A person participating in a discussion is the same person who may also have:

💬 Lobby activity
🏆 Achievements
⭐ Levels
📚 Knowledge contributions
👤 A Player One channel

Your identity follows you throughout the network.

🏷️ REAL MEMBER ROLES

Forum posts now display a member’s actual assigned role rather than relying on a generic placeholder.

This makes it easier to identify different members throughout discussions.

Roles can represent the member’s real position or status throughout Player One Network rather than every user appearing identical.

BETTER @USERNAME PRESENTATION

The @username portion of Forum posts also received a visual redesign.

User handles now have:

• Better spacing.
• Cleaner styling.
• Improved readability.
• Better integration alongside display names and roles.

Mentions should feel like a proper community feature rather than another piece of plain metadata.

📣 @MENTIONS

The Forum foundation includes support for @mentions.

This allows conversations to directly reference other members and helps connect discussions with the notification system.

Mentions are an important piece of making Forums feel active instead of passive.

🔔 FORUM NOTIFICATIONS

Forum activity is being tied into notifications so members can keep track of discussions that matter to them.

This lays the foundation for notifications involving activity such as:

• Replies.
• Mentions.
• Followed conversations.
• Community interactions.

Instead of having to manually revisit every topic, relevant activity can come back to you.

⭐ FOLLOW DISCUSSIONS

Members can follow topics they care about.

This is particularly useful for:

• Long discussions.
• Troubleshooting threads.
• Community projects.
• Suggestions.
• Guides.
• Announcements.
• Ongoing gaming discussions.

Forums should make it easy to return to conversations instead of losing them.

❤️ FORUM REACTIONS

Replies and discussions also support reactions.

This creates a faster way to respond to a useful or entertaining post without adding another reply simply to say you agree.

Reactions are also being connected with Player One’s broader progression systems.

⭐ XP INTEGRATION

Forum participation can contribute toward Player One progression.

The current Alpha foundation includes XP rewards such as:

+2 XP

These values are part of the Alpha experience and can continue to be balanced as the system is tested.

The larger goal is for meaningful participation across P1 to contribute toward your Player One identity.

🎬 VIDEO SUPPORT

Forum discussions are also being designed to work with video content.

This gives members a better way to discuss:

• Player One videos.
• Creator content.
• Trailers.
• Gameplay.
• Tutorials.
• Other supported media.

Video shouldn’t have to be separated from conversation simply because you’re inside the Forums.

📱 RESPONSIVE FORUMS

The Forum interface is being built to adapt across screen sizes.

Work has already gone into making:

• Channels.
• Topics.
• Replies.
• Member information.
• Controls.

respond more naturally when available screen space changes.

Further responsive refinement will continue throughout Alpha.

🧪 THIS IS STILL ALPHA

Player One Forums are still extremely new.

That means you may encounter:

• Layout issues.
• Spacing inconsistencies.
• Features changing quickly.
• Bugs.
• Missing functionality.
• Designs being revised.
• Balance changes.
• New channels appearing.
• Existing systems being reorganized.

And that’s expected.

The purpose of Alpha is to build the foundation, put it in front of actual members, and improve it based on how people really use it.

They serve different purposes.
