🎮 PLAYER ONE NETWORK — PATCH LOG

A lot has been happening behind the scenes at Player One Network over the last few days. The focus has been on building out the community side of the network, improving video sharing, cleaning up the overall experience, and continuing to give P1 its own identity.

Here’s what’s been worked on so far. 👇

🌐 THE LOBBY — PLAYER ONE’S SOCIAL NETWORK

One of the biggest additions has been the continued development of The Lobby, our integrated social/community network built directly into Player One Network.

The goal is to make Player One Network more than just a place to read articles or watch videos — it’s becoming a place where the community can actually hang out.

👥 Social Features

• Continued development of the new Player One community/social system.
• Community posts integrated directly into the network.
• Player profiles and social interaction becoming a larger part of the site.
• Likes and other engagement features integrated into the community experience.
• Follower/following functionality being incorporated into the social system.
• Continued work toward making the social network feel connected to the rest of Player One Network rather than like a completely separate feature.

🎬 MUCH BETTER VIDEO SHARING

Video sharing inside The Lobby / Main Lobby received a major overhaul.

Instead of throwing ugly raw URLs into posts, Player One Network can now make shared video links feel much more like actual content.

🔗 Smarter Video Embedding

Work was added for automatically recognizing video links shared inside posts.

This includes support for content coming from:

• Player One Network Video
• YouTube
• Twitch
• Other supported video sources

For example, sharing a Player One Network video URL such as:

playeronenetwork.com/video/gta-6-trailer/

can be recognized and presented as video content instead of simply appearing as a plain link.

📰 Redesigned Video Posts

The presentation of videos inside Lobby posts was redesigned as well.

Previously, embedded videos could dominate the entire post.

The new direction uses:

• Smaller video previews.
• Video positioned more naturally within the post.
• Post text displayed alongside the video when appropriate.
• A cleaner article/card-style layout.
• Better spacing and proportions.
• More professional presentation in the Main Lobby feed.

The result should make video posts feel like part of the social feed rather than giant video players dropped into the middle of it.

✏️ Video Posting UI Cleanup

The video-link interface and instructional text have also been cleaned up so sharing videos is more straightforward and less awkward.

The separate Clip functionality was reevaluated as well since simply dropping content into the Clip field wasn’t providing much useful functionality.

The focus is now much more heavily on smart link detection and automatic embedding.

🟢 LIVE PULSE REDESIGN

The Live Pulse status system has received attention too.

Changing your status is being redesigned to feel much more like an interactive part of Player One Network instead of a basic dropdown or generic status selector.

Improvements include:

• A more visually pleasing status-changing experience.
• More interactive status controls.
• A more playful/social feel.
• Better integration with the Player One design language.
• Additional visual feedback when changing your current status.

Live Pulse is intended to become a quick way of seeing what other players in the network are doing, playing, watching, or thinking about.

💬 PRIVATE MESSAGING IMPROVEMENTS

Private messaging received another round of polish.

🔗 Clickable Links

Links sent through private messages are being corrected so URLs inside conversations actually function as clickable links.

No more copying and pasting URLs manually.

🖱️ Custom Scrollbar

The generic Windows/browser scrollbar inside private conversations didn’t fit the Player One design at all.

The messaging window scrollbar is being redesigned to better match:

• The Player One Network interface.
• The blue gaming/technology aesthetic.
• The rest of the private-message panel.

It’s a small change, but it makes the messaging experience feel considerably less like a generic browser window.

🎨 PLAYER ONE NETWORK BRANDING UPDATE

The Player One Network branding also received another visual pass.

🅿️ P1 Logo Improvements

Work was done on redesigning the site’s Player One Network branding, including the logo presentation used around the interface.

The goal has been to make the branding:

• Better match the site’s current design.
• Feel more integrated with the interface.
• Fit the blue technology/gaming direction.
• Look cleaner and more modern.
• Maintain the recognizable P1 / Player One Network identity without unnecessary visual clutter.

This included continued refinement of the upper site branding and P1 logo treatment used throughout the network.

🛠️ SMALLER UI/UX IMPROVEMENTS

Alongside the larger features, a number of smaller design decisions have been made to keep cleaning up the experience:

• Reduced oversized content inside social posts.
• Improved spacing inside feed cards.
• Cleaner video/text alignment.
• More consistent Player One styling across social features.
• Removed or reconsidered UI elements that didn’t serve a useful purpose.
• Improved wording around video-sharing controls.
• Continued replacement of generic browser/PC UI elements with custom Player One styling.
• Continued work toward making the social, video, and main website experiences feel like one connected platform.

🚀 WHAT PLAYER ONE NETWORK IS BECOMING

These updates are part of a much larger goal.

Player One Network isn’t being built as just another gaming news website.

The idea is to bring together:

There is still plenty more being built and refined, but Player One Network is starting to turn into the gaming and technology community platform it was originally envisioned to be.
